Hollywood funny man Jack Black has weighed in on the US presidential race debate, saying he would prefer Kanye West to take residence in the Oval Office over Donald Trump. “Listen, I’ll take Kanye over Trump, anyone but Trump,” Black said during a riotous co-hosting appearance on the TODAY Show this morning. “So Karl, you must be thanking your lucky stars there’s no chance of this man running for your country, right?” he asked host Karl Stefanovic as he took the reins of the ‘Mixed Grill’ segment. The actor, who is in town to promote the latest instalment in his hit animation series, Kung Fu Panda, admitted that although he is “entertained” by Mr Trump’s antics, he still has faith in the American voting public to elect someone “more level-headed, responsible and intelligent”.

“It’s a scary proposition but I don’t think that’s really in the cards. “This guy’s just a hot head and he’s a billionaire, and how can you trust that he’s not just going to be looking out for number one, as he always has? “Cause he’s like a child, you’re not going to vote for the child to run the show!” On a more serious note, Black said inequality in the working class was to blame for the “rage” seen at Mr Trump’s recent rallies and around the world. “There does seem to be a lot of rage, but you look around there’s a lot of rage. Things bubble up when there’s inequality in the working class of America and around the world.”
